Sales Engineer

Job Summary

Submit and execute sales strategies to achieve targets while building strong customer relationships. Provide technical advice, support sales opportunities, resolve customer issues, and contribute to marketing and forecasting activities to drive business growth.

Responsibilities

• Submit and execute well-defined sales strategies to achieve sales targets
• Develop and maintain strong rapport with existing customers to foster loyalty
• Respond promptly and professionally to customer enquiries and requests with technical advice on existing and new products or systems
• Support sales opportunities by delivering presentations, calling and visiting customers and prospects, identifying needs, and conducting active follow-ups
• Coordinate with sales and operations teams to ensure smooth service operation efficiency for customers
• Investigate and resolve customer issues by collaborating with relevant departments
• Acquire new customer accounts to expand the client base
• Assist in preparing proposals and managing quotation administration
• Contribute creative alternative ideas to maximize sales opportunities
• Participate in marketing, advertising, promotional, and publicity activities aligned with corporate and product strategies
• Gather market intelligence on demand, competition, and latest product developments
• Conduct periodic sales forecasts to inform planning
• Prepare weekly sales and contact reports to track progress

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Marine Engineering
• Experience in sales (preferred but fresh graduates are welcome to apply)
• Possess Class 3 driving license (own transport preferred)
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills demonstrated through customer interactions and sales support
• Outgoing personality to engage effectively with customers and prospects
• Resourceful, proactive self-starter with a positive attitude and performance orientation able to work independently and collaboratively in a team
• Proficient in reading and writing English fluently for clear communication
