CyberOwl Singapore (Remote, with Travel)

We help maritime and critical national infrastructure (CNI) asset operators gain greater visibility, cybersecurity, and compliance over their distributed, remote operational technology (OT) systems.

Our technologies provide near-real-time visibility of onboard IT and OT assets and their communication patterns, raise early warnings of cyber-attacks and suspicious behaviours, and monitor compliance status. We complement our software with a managed security service and specific cyber advisory engagements to support asset operators in meeting operational and regulatory expectations.

The Role:

CyberOwl is seeking a commercially driven Sales Director to lead our go-to-market efforts in Singapore and Northeast Asia, including Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea.

You will play a critical role in driving revenue growth and deepening our presence in these priority markets.This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly motivated individual with a hunter mentality, a proven sales track record, and a passion for the maritime sector. You will work closely with our leadership, marketing, and product teams to shape the regional growth strategy, engage customers and partners, and represent CyberOwl in industry associations and forums.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Execution:

  • Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities across key Northeast Asian maritime markets.
  • Develop and execute a robust regional sales plan aligned with CyberOwls strategic objectives.
  • Drive pipeline generation, from prospecting to deal closure, in a complex B2B sales environment.

Industry Engagement & Representation:

  • Represent CyberOwl at industry events, forums, and trade associations to build brand presence and customer awareness.
  • Leverage your existing network and sector expertise to open doors and influence key decision-makers.

Client & Stakeholder Management:

  • Engage senior stakeholders within maritime shipping, ports, and offshore energy sectors.
  • Navigate multi-stakeholder sales cycles with complex procurement processes and long lead times.

Collaboration & Insight Sharing:

  • Work closely with Marketing, Product, and Customer Success teams to ensure customer needs are understood and addressed.
  • Feed market insights back to the business to inform product development and marketing campaigns.

Travel & Market Development:

  • Travel frequently across Singapore, Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea to meet prospects, attend events, and manage relationships.

About You

  • Proven experience in business development or commercial leadership, ideally in the maritime or adjacent sectors. Cybersecurity familiarity is a bonus but not required. Other backgrounds that could be considered in place of cybersecurity would include network solutions, digital products, SaaS, or other related solutions.
  • A self-starter with a hunter mindset, strong commercial acumen, and a track record of exceeding revenue targets.
  • Mandarin language skills are highly desirable to support market engagement in Taiwan and China-linked firms.
  • A robust personal network within maritime shipping, ports, or offshore asset operators.
  • Strong consultative sales skills, with experience in navigating long and complex B2B sales cycles.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across diverse cultures.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the region.
  • Comfortable working independently in a startup environment with remote teams.
