Job Summary
You will find sales and manage client relationships and event sales from enquiry through execution and post-event servicing, driving sales targets and customer satisfaction in the hospitality and events sector.
Responsibilities
- Liaise directly with clients to clarify event requirements, objectives, and budgets, coordinating food tastings and corporate/full-buyout events from enquiry to post-event servicing
- Secure and manage sales and events proactively to achieve monthly sales targets
- Identify and develop new market opportunities to expand and strengthen the customer base
- Respond to all correspondence and inquiries within 24 hours to maintain strong client relationships and ensure satisfaction and loyalty
- Support the execution of events and campaigns by assisting operational teams as needed
- Manage event processes independently, including preparing proposals and quotations for venue rental and menus
- Follow up to ensure contracts are signed by option dates and that receipts and final payments are collected promptly
- Source business leads through various channels and monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities
- Maximize revenue opportunities through upselling during client interactions
- Assist with event site viewings, gather client feedback, and conduct post-event follow-ups to improve service quality
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotions, action plans, and marketing strategies
- Coordinate effectively with operational departments to ensure event quality and customer satisfaction
Required competencies and certifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in events or hotel industry
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends as per business needs
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, Events, or related field
- Strong presentation skills
- High efficiency, initiative, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
- Independent, motivated, creative thinker with a positive and flexible attitude and passion for events sales management
