Job Summary
The Sales and Business Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding market presence within the service industry, with a strong focus on Information Technology, BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) clients. This role combines hands-on sales leadership with strategic business development to build sustainable, long-term client relationships and partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end sales activities.
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities within assigned accounts and markets.
- Develop and deliver tailored service proposals, presentations, and pricing models aligned with client needs.
- Negotiate commercial and contractual terms.
- Manage and grow existing client accounts.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline data, and reporting.
- Achieve and exceed assigned revenue, margin, and growth targets.
- Work closely with delivery, operations, and compliance teams to ensure successful service delivery.
Business Development Responsibilities
- Identify new service offerings, market segments, and growth opportunities within the BFSI sector.
- Build and manage strategic partnerships, alliances, and referral channels.
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and competitor activities impacting clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop go-to-market strategies and solution positioning.
- Support expansion into new geographies or verticals within the service industry.
- Represent the organization at industry events, client forums, and networking engagements.
- Provide strategic input to management on sales performance and market opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sales and/or business development within the service industry
- Mandatory experience working with BFSI clients or within BFSI-focused organizations.
- Proven track record of closing complex, high-value service-based deals.
- Strong understanding of BFSI business models, client buying behavior, and regulatory considerations.
