Lufthansa Technik's revolutionary engine wash technology Cyclean is quick and simple, proven by more than 150,000 successful washes and an increasing average of 12,000 washes every year. Cyclean is available at a continuously growing number of stations all around the world. It enables airlines to clean their engines quickly and very efficiently. By using Cyclean regularly, optimum performance can be achieved.

Lufthansa Technik is currently seeking a highly capable candidate for the position of Sales & Account Manager Engine Life Cycle Services, based in Singapore, for our customers in Asia Pacific. The incumbent will be responsible for:

  • Leading sales projects, including contract negotiations for the technical product part, in coordination with the responsible Corporate Sales organisation and taking into account the Segment's targets.
  • Independently managing sales projects for Engine Life Cycle Services products as well as acquire new customers and develop customer loyalty.
  • Taking accountability for and preparing proposals (complex), quotations, business planning and risk assessment for sales projects for all service components of Engine Life Cycle Services products
  • Ensuring global, cross-site customer management for Engine Life Cycle Services products for civilian and military customers.
  • Commercially and operationally responsible for the global station network and supplier contracts.
  • Collecting and analyzing competition information (requirements, customer planning, wishes, satisfaction, observe and analyze competitors), derive and implement measures.
  • Preparing for risk analyses as part of segment risk management, present and evaluate risk profile. Support internal approval process and coordinate content with Controlling, as well as Legal and Finance. If necessary, to present the sales project to the Executive Board of Directors.
  • Drafting contracts in accordance with the requirements of the business unit and negotiate with the customer based on a negotiating mandate from the Segment together with the Corporate Sales Organization or independently for specific products and coordinate with internal interfaces.
  • Developing and coordinating customer specific solutions and sales strategies (products and services) based on customer feedback and target customer analysis.
  • Advising segment management and department management on alternative courses of action as well as risks within the sales process, give recommendations and bring about decisions.
  • Taking accountability for the transition from the acquisition phase to contract fulfillment. Ensure coordination with the relevant interfaces and mapping of the negotiated contract contents in the systems for contract fulfillment.
  • Attending customer visits independently and together with Corporate Sales, represent Lufthansa Technik at trade shows as Sales Manager representative of Engine Life Cycle Services.
  • All other duties as assigned or required

Your Profile

  • University degree, preferably in (Industrial) Engineering, Business, Economics or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in the sales of technical products with customer interface, preferably in the field of aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO)
  • You must thrive in fast-paced environments with an entrepreneurial mindset - be energised by challenges, actively pursuing new market exploration, identify innovative growth opportunities and be unafraid of building from the ground up.
  • Sound knowledge of business fundamentals and relationships, contracts, aviation law and aviation engineering principles, and the knowledge of internal processes and relationships within Lufthansa Technik
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Knowledge of an Asian language or German is advantageous
  • High degree of intercultural competency and strong understanding of Asian cultures
  • Excellent customer service skills with customer-oriented attitude, and a strong ability to build close relationships with customers
  • Like working with people, solving problems, and developing yourself by being challenged in your day-to-day work
  • Ability and self-driven motivation to adapt and solve complex challenges and new ways of business
  • Possess a strong character with the distinction to develop and drive business and customer relationships forwards
  • Ability to represent Lufthansa Technik in a consistent and professional way
  • Able to travel to Germany and extensively within Asia
