Responsibilities:
- Perform Basic and Detailed Engineering for Safety Systems, including: Safety Requirement Specifications (SRS), IO Database management, Hardware sizing and cabinet design (System & Marshalling) and Safety lifecycle documentation
- Implement safety applications (ESD, FGS, BMS) on Yokogawa Safety Systems (e.g., ProSafe-RS).
- Conduct Safety Validation and Verification, including FAT/IFAT in accordance with safety lifecycle processes.
- Ensure compliance with international standards (IEC 61508/61511, NFPA, SIL assessment requirements).
- Lead a team of engineers through the complete project lifecycle from design to site commissioning.
- Interface extensively with Affiliates, EPCs, Consultants, and Clients to ensure clarity and alignment of safety requirements.
- Support procurement activities related to SIS hardware and third-party components.
- Provide on-site support for startup and commissioning activities globally.
- Ensure strict adherence to Functional Safety Management (FSM) processes throughout the project.
- Report progress and risks to Project/Engineering Manager and contribute to project planning and execution strategy.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical, or Control Engineering.
- 8 years of experience in Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) for industrial process automation.
- In-depth knowledge of ESD, FGS, BMS application design and implementation.
- Strong understanding of SIL (Safety Integrity Level) concepts and Functional Safety lifecycle.
- Experience in hardware engineering, including IO sizing, cabinet design, and system integration.
- Practical knowledge of international standards including IEC 61508, IEC 61511, and NFPA.
- Proven experience in leading engineering teams and managing deliverables across project phases.
- Requires hands-on experience with Yokogawa Safety Systems (ProSafe-RS).
- Excellent communication, documentation, and coordination skills.
