Risk Assessment: Identify potential hazards at construction sites. Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits.
Accident Prevention: Develop and implement safety plans and procedures. Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents recommend corrective actions.
Training & Awareness: Organize safety training for workers (e.g., toolbox talks, safety drills). Ensure workers use personal protective equipment (PPE) properly.
Reporting: Maintain records of inspections, incidents, and safety violations. Report safety performance and issues to site management and regulatory authorities.
Emergency Preparedness: Ensure emergency response plans are in place and well understood. Coordinate drills and evaluate emergency response effectiveness.
Tool and Equipment Checks: Ensure machinery and tools meet safety standards. Monitor proper usage and maintenance of equipment.
Job Requirements:
Education:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Civil Engineering, or related field.
Certification in Health & Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) is highly preferred.
Experience:
2-5 years of experience in construction safety roles.
Knowledge of local construction safety codes and practices.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of risk assessment and safety inspection procedures.
Excellent communication and training skills.
Ability to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
