Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Safety Manager to oversee the implementation of safety systems at project sites.
• Monitor health and safety aspects of all projects and ensure safe work practices among workers.
• Conduct risk assessments for projects and maintain high safety standards and housekeeping at site.
• Act as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer in compliance with relevant regulations and perform duties as per code of practice.
• Liaise with the Site Team to address workplace safety, health, and environmental concerns.
• Enforce safety requirements and in-house safety regulations.
• Prepare and implement safe work procedures in alignment with safety regulations.
• Investigate workplace safety infringements and industrial accidents, providing recommended remedial actions.
• Conduct daily inspections of project activities to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Support the rehabilitation of workers post-accidents to facilitate a satisfactory return to work.
• Organize monthly Workplace Safety and Health Committee meetings and prepare statutory safety reports.
• Collaborate with relevant authorities on all workplace safety, health, and environmental issues.
• Develop documentation for project risk assessments and safe work procedures.
• Conduct internal training for site personnel on HSE practices.
• Manage and lead a team of safety personnel and organize HSE promotions and training courses to enhance awareness.

Requirements

• Relevant educational qualifications in safety or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in safety management, preferably in projects related to LTA.
• Certifications related to workplace safety and health are advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.
