The Workplace Safety and Health Officer is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Ensure work site is following company's and project's safety management system procedures and system.
- Assist HSSE Manager in developing, implementing and monitoring HSSE program.
- On-site work monitoring and conduct safety inspections, assessments and incident investigations & reporting.
- Coordinate emergency response to include scheduling, training and updating written programs.
- Monitor work site industrial hygiene.
- Spearhead safety programs at work site.
- Review Method Statement, Risk Assessment and Covid SOPs.to ensure conform to project requirements and comply with applicable regulations.
- Liaise and coordinate with Client, Contractor, project team and relevant parties (e.g. MOM, MOH, BCA, NEA) for all safety, security and Covid related matters, including meeting, reports etc.
- Establish good working relations with client and its representatives
- Assist with safety program implementation to include training, conducting routine plant & machinery inspection and safety committee participation as recording secretariat.
- Organise promotion such as HSSE campaigns, competition and other activities to improve HSSE awareness.
- File and maintain safety records for inspections/auditing etc.
- Other ad-hoc duties assigned by management or HSSE Manager.
