Safety Officer

Job Descriptions:

1) Risk Assessment and Hazard Identification

. Work together with respective engineer on developing site-specific RA's and SWP's.

. Realign daily equipment checklists and implemented those that are lacking.

. Implement monthly RA briefing and maintain all records.

. Conduct site inspections for control measures implementation and to identify lapses.

2) Incident Investigation and Reporting

. Lead and oversee the investigation of incidents, accidents, and near-misses related to the pneumatic waste conveyance system.

. Analyse root causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent similar incidents in the future.

. Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on safety performance, incidents, and compliance.

3) Non-Compliance

. Identify and take action against NCs during site visit, maintain the NC records as well.

4) Safety Training and Education

. Deliver safety training programs for employees. All records of training maintain on a excel and regularly updated.

. In house training for various maintenance equipment jointly conducted with engineer on site to familiarize workers with the use and proper methodology of work. Records maintain in the server.

. Conduct site training to MA contractors together with engineer.

. Communicate during Mass Toolbox on safety regulations, standards, and best practices throughout the organization.

5) Safety Statistics

. Implemented and currently monitoring on ASR and AFR tracking with manhours.

. Tracking of LTI and medical case.

6) ISO Documentation

. Upkeep of records for ISO audits. Help team on preparing relevant documents.

7) BizSAFE Audit

. Preparing for bizsafe audit and thereafter submitting for certificate renewal.

8) Subcontractors / Equipment

. Source for those approve sub-contractors for safety related tasks like scaffolding.

. Give advice on safety equipment and ensure compliance on usage.

9) New Project Safety Set Up

. For New Main Con project - to set up site safety management system and implement site safety documents according to ISO PQP documentation.
