Safety Officer
Job Description & Requirements
- reporting to the project manager, plan and advise management on accident prevention, safety work methods, legal requirements affecting safety and health
- deploy workplace safety and health (WSH) programmes
- advise on work plan/ risk assessment/safe work procedures
- ensure that all safety compliance and processes adhered to by all workers
- able to communicate to all levels and attend to daily site meeting
- coordinate implementation of corrective and preventive actions
- ensure and conduct periodic toolbox meetings
- establish quality safety management policies and procedures
- ensure personal protection equipment is applied with site at all time
- responsible for effective site administration which include site safety and control of materials on site
- Good working knowledge ISO14000, OH&S 45001
- conduct emergency fire drills
Requirements:
- specialist diploma in workplace safety and health/ Advance certificate in WSH, confined space safety assessor
- at least 2 years of working experience in building or civil construction industry
- a team player who is hands on and meticulous in his work
- able to start work immediately or within a short notice
