The Safety Manager reports directly to the Company Directors / CEO.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the company Safety Management System - implementing, maintaining, updating and scheduling reviews.
- Keeps abreast of new developments, safe working practices, government regulations and international codes of practice.
- Plan and conduct internal HSE audits.
- Plan external HSE audits.
- Facilitate and lead safety reviews such as project HAZID and Risk Assessments.
- Implementing, and monitoring project HSE Plans and performance indicators:
o HSE Awareness,
o KPI's (Leading and Lagging),
o Emergency Drills,
o Incident and Accident Investigation process,
o MOC process,
o Audits.
- Updating of project RA Registers, Non-Conformance Record Registers, Incident Registers, MOC Registers and HSE Statistics.
- Lead the Incident and Accident Investigation team.
- Promote HSE awareness and safety culture within the company.
Qualifications:
- National requirements of safety officers where applicable.
- International NEBOSH (National Examination board in Occupational Safety and Health) Certificate or similar.
