We are looking for a hands-on Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) to oversee and drive safety practices at our precast production plant and yard. This role focuses on day-to-day workplace safety, ensuring compliance with Singapore WSH regulations, and working closely with production team to prevent incidents.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and enforce workplace safety practices in accordance with requirements by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) and relevant authorities
Act as the appointed Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) for plant / yard operations
Conduct and review Risk Assessments (RA) and Safe Work Procedures (SWP) for precast production, lifting activities, and site installation works
Monitor high-risk activities such as Lifting operations (precast elements, heavy components), Work at height, Machinery and yard operations
Carry out daily site inspections, identify unsafe practices, and follow through on corrective actions
Lead incident investigations, prepare reports, and implement preventive measures
Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and safety trainings for workers and subcontractors
Liaise with project teams, subcontractors, and authorities on all WSH matters
Ensure all safety documentation, permits, and records are properly maintained and up to date
Support internal and external audits, including compliance with company and regulatory standard
Requirements
Must be a registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) with the Ministry of Manpower
Possess a Specialist Diploma / recognised qualification in Workplace Safety & Health
Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in construction or precast environment
Strong working knowledge of Risk Assessment (RA) and Safe Work Procedures (SWP), Lifting operations and heavy equipment safety, Singapore WSH regulations and compliance requirements
Comfortable working on-site (construction / precast yard environment)
Able to communicate effectively with workers, supervisors, and management
