We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to support and implement Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) initiatives across our oil & gas operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Singapore WSH regulations, conducting risk assessments, coordinating audits, and promoting a strong safety culture at worksites.
Workplace Safety & Health Management
Assist in the development, implementation, and review of WSH policies, procedures, and safety documentation.
Conduct WSH hazard identification, risk assessments, and control measures in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Prepare and maintain Method Statements & Risk Assessments (MSRA) for site activities.
Audits & Compliance
Support and participate in ISO and internal/external safety audits.
Ensure compliance with MOM, client, and industry safety standards.
Maintain accurate safety records, reports, permits, and inspection logs.
Site Safety Programs
Develop and implement Fall Prevention Plans, Emergency/Escape Plans, and Safe Work Procedures.
Conduct PPE inspections, ensure correct usage, and monitor PPE inventory.
Monitor work at height, confined space activities, and other high-risk operations.
Training & Communication
Conduct internal and external WSH briefings, toolbox meetings, and safety inductions.
Promote safety awareness among employees, subcontractors, and visitors.
Liaise with project teams, supervisors, and clients on safety-related matters.
Incident Management
Assist in incident/accident investigations and preparation of corrective and preventive action reports.
Ensure timely reporting of incidents in accordance with statutory requirements.
Qualifications & Certifications (Mandatory)
WSH Level B
Manage Work at Height
Confined Space Assessor
Supervise Workplace Safety and Health Personnel (SWSHPP)
Building Construction Supervisors Safety Course (BCSS)
Occupational First Aider with CPR & AED certification
Experience
Minimum 2-3 years of safety coordination experience, preferably in the oil & gas, marine, construction, or industrial sectors.
Familiarity with Singapore WSH Act, subsidiary legislation, and MOM requirements.
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of risk assessment and safety documentation.
Good communication and presentation skills.
Able to work independently and collaboratively in site-based environments.
Detail-oriented with strong reporting and documentation skills.
