Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to support and oversee all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) activities on our construction sites. The Safety Coordinator will be responsible for implementing safety policies, conducting inspections, promoting safe practices, and ensuring compliance with legal and company HSE standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining site-specific safety programs in accordance with local regulations and company policies.

2. Conduct regular site safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.

3. Monitor compliance with workplace safety standards, including PPE usage, equipment safety, and hazard communication.

4. Coordinate and conduct safety training, toolbox meetings, and safety briefings for all site personnel.

5. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses prepare detailed reports and suggest preventive measures.

6. Ensure proper documentation of safety records, risk assessments, and permits-to-work.

7. Liaise with regulatory authorities during inspections and audits.

Requirements:

1. Diploma or Certificate in Workplace Safety & Health, Environmental Safety, or a related field.

2. At least 3-5 years of relevant working experience in construction or a similar environment.

3. Possession of valid safety-related certifications such as:

WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (Level B)

Construction Safety Orientation Course (CSOC)

First Aid / Fire Safety Training (preferred)

4. Familiar with local safety regulations (e.g., WSH Act, MOM guidelines in Singapore).

5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with workers, supervisors, and management.

6. Ability to handle site work, including outdoor environments and physically demanding conditions.

7. Detail-oriented with strong reporting and documentation skills.

Preferred:

Bilingual or multilingual ability (e.g., English, Mandarin, or worker-native languages) is a plus.
Experience working with main contractors or on large-scale construction projects.
Can start immediate will be an advantage.
