Safety Coordinator

Working Location: Jurong Island

Responsibilities:

. Assist the occupier of the worksite to identify any unsafe condition in the worksite or unsafe work practice which is carried out in the worksite.

. Recommend to the occupier of the worksite to implement such reasonably practicable measures to remedy the unsafe condition or unsafe work practice.

. Enter, inspect and examine at any reasonable time the worksite.

. Inspect and examine any machinery, equipment, plant installation or article in the worksite.

. Require the production of worksite records, certificates, notices and documents kept or required to be kept under the act, including any other relevant document, and to inspect and examine any of them.

. Assess the level of noise, illumination, heat or harmful or hazardous substances in the worksite and the exposure levels of persons at work.

. Investigate any accident, dangerous occurrence or occupational disease that occurred within the worksite.

. Liaise closely with site operations staff and Project Manager on all safety and health issue.

. Any other duties assigned by the Project / Site Manager

Requirements:

. Minimum 3 years of relevant Safety Coordination Work experience in construction industry

. Candidate must possess valid relevant certificates (E.g.: WSQ Advanced Certificate in WSH (Level B/WSH Coordinator).

. Additional certificates related to safety are preferable such as Lifting Supervisor Safety Course, WAH Supervisor Course, Occupational First Aid Course etc

. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)

. Good communication and interpersonal skills.

. Able to work independently and at the same time be a team player.
