Conduct regular safety inspections at work sites and project facilities to make sure activities comply with Singapore regulatory requirements (e.g., Workplace Safety and Health Act) and SMRT standards.
Ensure workers, subcontractors and visitors follow safe work practices and use appropriate personal protective equipment.
Investigate incidents, accidents, near-misses, dangerous occurrences and report findings.
Track safety performance indicators and prepare reports for management and regulatory purposes.
Maintain accurate logs of inspections, incident reports, training, permits-to-work, and compliance records.
Assist with safety reviews, audits and statutory inspections where required.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors and statutory agencies on safety matters.
Serve as a main point of contact for safety routines on site.
Requirements:
Mandatory certification such as Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) Coordinator Certificate, WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health, or equivalent.
2-3 years of relevant work experience in safety coordination, especially in construction, infrastructure or rail sector (e.g., LTA / SMRT projects).
Strong knowledge of WSH regulations, risk assessment procedures and statutory compliance.
