Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing and enforcing Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies, procedures, and company safety standards.
- Conduct routine site safety inspections and identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Method Statements.
- Conduct site safety inductions, toolbox meetings, and safety briefings for employees and subcontractors.
- Monitor work activities to ensure compliance with MOM regulations, client safety requirements, and company procedures.
- Assist in investigating workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure all workers possess valid safety certifications and work permits before commencing work.
- Monitor the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure compliance with safety requirements.
- Maintain safety records, inspection reports, training records, permits, and other WSH documentation.
- Coordinate with project managers, supervisors, clients, and subcontractors on all safety related matters.
- Support safety audits conducted by clients and regulatory authorities.
- Promote a positive safety culture and encourage continuous safety improvement across all project sites.
Requirements
- Diploma, Higher NITEC, or Degree in Workplace Safety and Health, Engineering, Environmental Health, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience in the construction, engineering, semiconductor, or manufacturing industry.
- Possess a valid Workplace Safety and Health Coordinator (WSHC) certificate or equivalent recognized safety qualification.
- Familiar with MOM Workplace Safety and Health regulations and industry best practices.
- Knowledge of Risk Assessment (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), Permit-to-Work (PTW), and incident reporting.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Responsible, proactive, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Candidates with experience in cleanroom, semiconductor, or industrial plant environments will have an added advantage.
