SAFETY CO-ORDINATOR

Responsibilities

• Apply a minimum of 3 years of construction experience to manage and oversee construction site safety and compliance.
• Utilize knowledge of the Workplace Safety & Health Act to ensure all site activities meet legal safety standards.
• Implement safety protocols and procedures in accordance with BCSS and other relevant safety certifications to maintain a safe work environment.
• Conduct risk assessments and safety audits on civil and structural works to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety measures into construction planning and execution.
• Maintain up-to-date safety documentation and reports to support compliance and continuous improvement.

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma equivalent or Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety & Health.
• Possession of BCSS and other relevant safety certificates.
• Knowledge of the Workplace Safety & Health Act.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience in civil and structural work.
