Role Overview
The DevOps Lead is responsible for end-to-end release governance, DevOps strategy, and operational excellence across Avaloq and its ecosystems. This role ensures stable, secure, and efficient delivery of changes while driving automation, CI/CD maturity, and production resilience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end Avaloq release lifecycle (DEV SIT UAT PROD) ensuring smooth deployments
- Plan and coordinate release schedules across Development, Infrastructure, and Business teams
- Ensure compliance with Change Management processes and release governance standards
- Conduct release readiness checks including impact analysis, rollback planning, and dependency validation
- Maintain release calendars, documentation, and governance dashboards
- Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for application deployments
- Automate build, deployment, and configuration management processes
- Drive automation-first approach to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency
- Standardize DevOps practices, tools, and frameworks across environments
- Manage and maintain multiple environments (Dev, SIT, UAT, Performance, DR, Production)
- Ensure environment consistency, configuration alignment, and deployment reliability
- Support database and infrastructure changes related to Avaloq (Oracle, RAC, Exadata)
- Implement and manage infrastructure-as-code and configuration management (where applicable)
- Collaborate with Development and Infrastructure teams to enable faster and reliable delivery pipelines
- Continuously improve DevOps maturity by enhancing deployment speed, quality, and automation coverage.
- Promote best practices, standardization, and governance across teams
Mandatory Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in Avaloq platform (MANDATORY) and familiar with Avaloq tools and framework.
- Strong experience in Release Management and DevOps practices in banking/wealth domain
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins/GitLab/Drone) and scripting (Shell/Python)
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, OpenShift, Alauda).
- Good understanding of Oracle databases (preferably RAC/Exadata environments)
- Experience managing mission-critical production systems with high availability requirements
- Experience with configuration management and automated deployment processes.
