Job Description
Job Description & Requirements
The candidate should possess an architectural background with relevant experience to supervise institutional projects but not limited to:
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and inspect architectural works on site to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications as required under the project and mandated under the Building Control Act and Regulations
- Monitor workmanship, material quality, and construction progress, reporting any non-conformities and defects
- Ensure the Builder executes the work in accordance to Consultant's instructions
- Check drawings for discrepancies and highlight to consultant, suggesting possible solutions to prevent delays
- Maintain proper records including daily site reports, inspection checklists, and RTO logbooks
- Coordinate closely with the main contractor, sub-contractors, and other Resident Site Staff to resolve on-site technical and architectural issues
- Attend site, technical, and coordination meetings with contractors, consultants, and relevant authorities where required
- Witness all the inspection, testing and commissioning sessions performed by the contractors to ensure compliance with designs and specifications
- Observe and comply with site safety, submit all reports as directed, and ensure that works are carried out in a safe and proper manner
- As-built drawings checks
- Report to project QP / Project Consultants Team on quality and progress
- Period: 12 months
- Start from: December 2025 / January 2026
Requirements:
- Min. Diploma in Architecture, Building Technology, or equivalent from a recognised institution
- Minimum 8 years of relevant site supervision experience. Candidates with prior experience in institutional projects will be given preference
- Familiar with Singapore construction standards, local authority regulations (BCA, URA, SCDF), and Codes of Practice
- Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural drawings and technical detailing
- Competent in MS Office, AutoCAD
- Good communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
- Proactive, independent, and able to work well in a fast-paced site environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Accredited certification as a Resident Technical Officer (RTO) by the relevant professional body eg. BCA/IES
