A Senior RPA Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex robotic process automation (RPA) solutions, utilizing industry-standard RPA tools to automate repetitive business tasks, requiring strong analytical skills, experience with agile methodologies, and the ability to lead and mentor junior developers while collaborating closely with business stakeholders to identify and implement automation opportunities across an organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Automation Design and Development:
Analyze business processes, identify automation potential, and design efficient RPA workflows using industry-standard RPA tools like UiPath, Blue Prism, or Automation Anywhere.
- Technical Implementation:
Develop, test, and deploy RPA bots, including data mapping, screen scraping, API integrations, and error handling mechanisms.
Continuously monitor and refine existing automations to ensure optimal performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements.
Collaborate with business users, project managers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, manage expectations, and provide technical guidance.
Mentor junior RPA developers, share best practices, and contribute to the overall RPA development team strategy.
Create comprehensive technical documentation for developed automations, including user guides and process flow diagrams.
- Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
Investigate and resolve issues arising from RPA deployments, providing ongoing support and maintenance.
Required Skills
Extensive experience with at least one leading RPA platform (UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere)
Basic understanding of programming languages like .NET, Java, or Python for advanced automation scenarios
Ability to analyze complex business processes and identify automation opportunities
Familiarity with agile methodologies and iterative development practices
Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot issues and resolve technical challenges effectively
Excellent written and verbal communication to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field
- Proven track record of successfully implementing RPA projects in a complex environment
- Experience with data manipulation, database interactions, and web services integration
- Knowledge of OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technologies
- Familiarity with cloud-based RPA platforms
