Job Summary
Kids DiscoveryWorks offers exciting STEM enrichment programs for pre-school and primary-school children (K-6), focusing on hands-on experiential learning through experiments, games, and Makerspace projects that foster curiosity, collaboration, and problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Lead and conduct STEM lessons that introduce grade-appropriate science and engineering concepts to inspire curiosity and excitement in students
- Facilitate and coach students through hands-on STEM activities and experiments to create effective and engaging learning experiences
- Collaborate with fellow instructors and staff to maintain a safe, stimulating, and well-managed learning environment that supports program success and continuous improvement
- Monitor and assess each child's learning progress, providing constructive feedback to curriculum developers and parents to enhance educational outcomes
- Build and maintain positive relationships with parents and students to support student engagement and satisfaction
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively to ensure order and discipline during sessions
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in centres and classrooms to provide a healthy learning environment
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Demonstrated passion for engaging children in learning and fostering STEM interest
- Strong organizational, communication, and facilitation skills demonstrated through lesson delivery and student interaction
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and confident in public speaking within educational settings
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word to support lesson preparation and reporting
- Prior experience working with children or familiarity with LEGO Spike Prime technology
- Relevant teaching qualifications for Lead Instructor roles
- Graduates or current students pursuing degrees or diplomas in relevant fields for Assistant Instructor roles
