Job Description

About Us

YYForce is building intelligent humanoid and service robots that can work safely and effectively alongside people. Our initial focus is the hospitality sector, where robots must operate reliably in dynamic environments and interact naturally with guests and staff.

Our goal is to develop scalable robotic capabilities that support a growing range of hospitality and service applications.

About the Role

We are looking for a Robotics Engineer, Manipulation to enable our robots to interact safely and reliably with objects in real-world environments.

You will develop and integrate manipulation capabilities spanning arm and hand control, grasp planning, motion planning and task execution. Working closely with perception, embodied AI and system engineers, you will improve these capabilities through hands-on testing and deployment on physical robots.

This role offers strong ownership of the robot's manipulation capabilities, from early development through real-world deployment.

Key Responsibilities

. Develop and integrate manipulation capabilities for robotic arms, hands and end effectors.

. Implement grasp planning, motion planning and manipulation control.

. Integrate perception outputs into reliable manipulation behaviors.

. Develop task execution, safety checks and recovery behaviors for manipulation.

. Evaluate and integrate manipulation hardware, software and supporting sensors.

. Test capabilities on physical robots and improve their accuracy, reliability and robustness.

. Support the deployment and troubleshooting of manipulation systems in real-world environments.

. Collaborate with perception, embodied AI and system engineers on end-to-end robot applications.

Minimum Requirements

. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field.

. Strong programming skills in C++ and/or Python.

. Understanding of robot kinematics, control and motion planning.

. Experience with ROS or ROS 2.

. Ability to develop, test and debug software for robotic systems.

. Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to work across software and hardware.

Strongly Preferred

. Hands-on experience with robotic arms, dexterous hands, grippers or other end effectors.

. Experience with MoveIt, OMPL or similar manipulation and motion-planning frameworks.

. Experience with grasp planning, vision-guided manipulation or force-controlled tasks.

. Familiarity with force/torque sensing, tactile sensing or contact-rich manipulation.

. Experience with simulation tools such as Isaac Sim, MuJoCo or Gazebo.

. Exposure to imitation learning, reinforcement learning or other learning-based manipulation methods.

. Experience deploying manipulation systems outside controlled laboratory environments.

What We Offer

. Ownership of core manipulation capabilities for humanoid and service robots.

. Hands-on access to robotic arms, dexterous hands, sensors and humanoid platforms.

. The opportunity to combine model-based robotics with emerging learning-based approaches.

. Direct involvement in taking manipulation capabilities from prototype to real hospitality deployments.

. The freedom to evaluate new tools, hardware and technical approaches.

. A high-impact position with room to grow into technical leadership as the team expands.
