We have established an in-house robotics development team focused on creating next-generation autonomous systems for facade inspection, and we are expanding our team to accelerate product development and deployment.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and capable Robotics Development Manager to lead the full-cycle development of our facade inspection robots. You will oversee the complete product development process from concept to deployment, coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, and ensure the delivery of robust, safe, and high-performing robotic systems on schedule and within scope.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cross-Functional Team Management: Lead and align mechanical, electrical, and software engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and collaboration.

  • Technical Direction & Architecture: Guide system design, technology selection, and architecture reviews to ensure technical feasibility, innovation, and scalability.

  • Productization & Process Development: Drive the transition from prototype to product, establishing development workflows, testing protocols, and safety standards.

  • Vendor & Partner Coordination: Manage external resources including component sourcing, manufacturing partners, and third-party validation services.

  • Quality Assurance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards (e.g., ISO 10218, IEC 61508), identify project risks, and implement mitigation strategies.

  • Team Development: Recruit, mentor, and manage team members, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.

Qualifications & Requirements

Essential:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in robotics systems development, with at least 2 years in a team lead or project management capacity.

  • Proven track record of managing at least one full robotics product development cycle from concept to deployment.

  • Solid interdisciplinary technical understanding across mechanical design, electronics, embedded systems, and robotics software (ROS/ROS2).

  • Strong project management skills, with experience in Agile or stage-gate development processes.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, comfortable interacting with technical teams and senior leadership.

  • Fluency in English, with strong technical writing and presentation skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience in facade inspection, drones, climbing robots, or mobile robotics in industrial or construction environments.

  • Familiarity with building inspection methods, nondestructive testing, or computer vision applications in inspection.

  • Knowledge of functional safety standards such as ISO 10218 and IEC 61508.

  • Experience in design for manufacturability (DFM) and supply chain management for hardware products.

Why Join Us

  • Lead an autonomous and growing robotics team with the mission to deliver impactful inspection solutions.

  • Drive innovation in a specialized and rapidly evolving field at the intersection of robotics and construction technology.

  • Influence strategic technology decisions and contribute to the company's vision for smart building maintenance.

  • Competitive compensation package with performance incentives and opportunities for professional growth.
