Job Summary

Our client seeks an experienced Risk and Compliance Associate with a financial industry background to support enterprise risk management activities, enhance compliance processes, and contribute to regulatory and governance initiatives.

Responsibilities

Support the Enterprise Risk Management framework by conducting risk assessments, maintaining risk registers, monitoring key risk indicators, managing third-party risks, and preparing risk and incident reports
Execute KYC/CDD procedures, including client onboarding, screening, risk assessments, and periodic reviews to ensure compliance
Conduct quality assurance reviews on onboarding, monitoring, and compliance documentation to identify control gaps and recurring issues
Recommend and implement process and control improvements to strengthen risk management and compliance effectiveness
Assist in preparing regulatory reports, supporting audits, inspections, and management reporting activities
Update and maintain risk and compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls to align with regulatory requirements
Participate in risk, compliance, and governance projects to support organizational objectives

Preferred competencies and qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Law, Risk Management, or related field
3-5 years of experience in enterprise risk management, operational risk, internal audit, compliance, or financial services
Knowledge of AML/CFT and KYC/CDD regulatory requirements
Strong analytical skills demonstrated by effective documentation and communication of risk findings
Self-driven and proactive with the ability to independently manage tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented and organized, capable of managing multiple priorities efficiently
Practical and solutions-oriented mindset with a commitment to driving tasks to completion
