RF & Satellite Spectrum Monitoring Engineer (CSM)

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

The position is meant to increase our capacity to serve APAC customers, mainly in the fields of Spectrum and Signal Monitoring and Network Management Systems (NMS).

The qualified candidate will work in APAC Delivery Team of Kratos Communications, responsible for system integration across one or several exciting and innovative new projects.

The qualified candidate will perform standard and advanced system engineering duties: implementation, integration, test, technical documentation, on-site installations, testing, and training.

Integration work will be done in factory (Kratos Communications Singapore) and may involve some amount of travels, mainly in the APAC region (i.e. 15-20% in average).

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

.Collaborate with other KRATOS team members located in local and remote offices

.Assist in vendor selection and 3rd party software/equipment purchasing

.Participate in the design of the systems to be delivered

.Integrate the subsystems to be delivered

.Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve system hardware, software, and networking issues

.Participate in the test campaign

.Perform shipping and receiving tasks as required by the project

.Perform installation, cabling, and any necessary task to support the system integration

.Report to the supervisor on progress status

.Write, update and maintain technical documentation (in English)

.Support in meetings with customers

.Perform programmatic and QA tasks such as configuration management, document reviews, etc

.Perform other duties as assigned

.Provide training to customers (on-site or at Kratos premises)

.Technical proficiency in the following areas:

1. Knowledge of radio frequency (RF) principles
2. Fundamental to advanced knowledge of databases, including Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL
3. Fundamental to advanced knowledge of programming languages and scripting
4. Proficient in Linux and Windows operating environments
5. Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized environments
6. Fundamental to advanced knowledge of computer networking, including TCP/IP, IP addressing, subnetting and network troubleshooting
7. Fundamental to advanced knowledge of computer hardware installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting
8. Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
9. Experience with ISO 9001 quality management systems and ISO/IEC 27001 information security management systems, or other recognized cybersecurity standards, would be an advantage
10. Experience with Singapore's bizSAFE programme and applicable workplace safety and health requirements would be an advantage

.Fluency in English written and spoken is required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

.Requires Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Communications Engineering, Electronics and Data Engineering, or a closely related discipline

.1-2 years of relevant engineering experience in RF systems, spectrum monitoring, signal monitoring and analysis, telecommunications or satellite communications

.Fresh graduates with relevant academic projects are encouraged to apply

.Singaporean Citizenship or PR (i.e., ability to obtain Singaporean Government Security Clearance)
