Job Description

Role Description

The RF Engineer / Antenna Engineer / Wireless Communications Engineer designs, develops, and validates technologies for wireless transmission and reception. Depending on the assigned specialization, the role involves developing RF circuits and subsystems, designing and optimizing antennas, or evaluating wireless communication systems and signal processing algorithms.

The successful candidate will collaborate with hardware, software, mechanical, and systems teams to meet performance and integration requirements. This position also performs simulations and laboratory testing, investigates interference and signal quality issues, and supports improvements to coverage, efficiency, and reliability.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, telecommunications, or a related field; an advanced degree is an advantage.
  • Relevant experience in RF engineering, antenna design, or wireless communications, depending on the assigned specialization.
  • Strong understanding of electromagnetics, RF principles, transmission lines, and communication systems.
  • For RF positions, experience with RF circuits, impedance matching, link budgets, noise figure, and linearity.
  • For antenna positions, experience with antenna design, radiation patterns, gain, efficiency, polarization, and impedance bandwidth.
  • For wireless communications positions, knowledge of modulation, coding, channel models, synchronization, and signal processing.
  • Familiarity with simulation tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, HFSS, CST, or ADS, as relevant to the role.
  • Experience using equipment such as vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes.
  • Ability to develop test procedures, interpret measurements, and correlate results with simulations.
  • Familiarity with wireless standards, over-the-air testing, or electromagnetic compatibility requirements is an advantage.
  • Programming or scripting skills in Python, MATLAB, or a similar language are an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and clear technical communication.
  • Ability to collaborate across engineering disciplines and meet development milestones.
