Job Description

Summary

As our Revenue Accountant, you will be responsible for day-to-day business support and accounting point-of-contact for a the Digital Marketplace platform in Southeast Asia & India (SEA&I) territory. You will be part of the Regional Revenue and Inventory Accounting team based in Singapore.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess deep functional expertise, analytical acumen, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Smooth End-to-End Order to Cash Process Execution & Issue Resolution

You have oversight to the entire order to cash accounting process operating within a managed service provider (MSP) shared delivery model. In this role, you will measure MSP's service delivery performance against key service deliverable metric, such as sales and net settlement reconciliations with the digital marketplace platform partner, and variance investigation leading to month-end close revenue accruals. You will coach the MSP to address any process escalation or performance gaps and regularly review their desktop procedures to ensure continuous improvement and compliance.

  • Reporting, Analytics & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • During month-end close, you will prepare and deliver the financial reporting pack analytics for the digital marketplace, synthesizing data into concise insights.
  • You are also expected to work closely with the regional Corporate Accounting team to align on accounting impacts on digital marketplace changes.
  • Lastly, collaboration with the Country Controller and Tax teams will be essential to ensure statutory and tax compliance.
  • Business Support
  • You will also provide ongoing business support to ensure seamless platform operations, such as supporting key retail moment mechanisms, timely collections, data integrity across multiple systems, validity of platform charges.
  • Additionally, you will engage cross-functionally with Business, Supply Chain, and Technology teams to resolve operational and platform interface issues, support system testing, and propose process improvements to enhance control rigor.
  • This position offers opportunities to identify and drive automation and process improvements within the order to cash cycle, helping to minimize errors and becoming more efficient in working with multiple sources of data.

You will work closely with the SEA&I Finance & Controlling teams and cross-functional stakeholders such as Supply Chain Operations, Technology and Direct Digital Commerce business teams. You will also partner with MSP teams to drive high-quality operational service delivery.

Requirements

  • CA/CPA and/or Degree holder in Accountancy with 5-7 years of experience in revenue accounting, accounts receivable, financial close/analysis, and/or audit experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and resolve issues in complex operational ecosystems
  • Experience with digital marketplace accounting and reconciliations in a high-volume data environments
  • Analytical and communication skills; capable of translating data into actionable insights
  • SAP experience a plus; familiarity with automation, data tools, or multi-system environment
