The Team Lead of Retail Operations plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of retail stores and carts by leading a team of Retail Associates, ensuring excellent guest service, accurate sales transactions, and effective merchandising. This role also plays a key role in mentoring team members, managing zone operations, and supporting store leadership in achieving operational goals.
Job Responsibilities:
Sales & Guest Engagement:
- Conduct sales transactions and generate revenue at various retail stores and carts.
- Provide excellent guest service and interact positively with guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Promote and upsell merchandise to maximize revenue.
- Recognize and respond to both internal and external guest needs.
Retail Operations:
- Operate cash registers and handle various payment modes accurately.
- Maintain accurate stock control, merchandise displays, and perform timely stock replenishments.
- Ensure visual merchandising standards are met within assigned zones.
- Support the Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager in all aspects of store operations.
Team Leadership & Coaching:
- Mentor and coach team members to enhance performance and service standards.
- Motivate Retail Associates to focus on guest engagement and upselling.
- Delegate duties and oversee all facets of zone operations to ensure smooth functioning.
Planning & Job Knowledge:
- Demonstrate broad and up-to-date knowledge of products, services, and operational procedures across the resort.
- Plan efficiently, manage priorities, and anticipate future operational needs.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum GCE N Levels or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a retail environment.
- Experience in F&B or retail operations is advantageous.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Effectively bilingual for ease of communication with guests.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to lift and handle stock items (10kg) when required.
- Flexible in performing various roles during shifts (e.g., break coverage, floater).
- Basic knowledge of visual merchandising is preferred.
- Reliable, proactive, and service-oriented.
- Adaptable and able to work in dynamic retail environments.
- Able to perform shift work, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
