Job Summary
Join our vibrant retail shop at Orchard as a Retail Shop Sales Associate. You will create positive shopping experiences by assisting customers, managing sales transactions, maintaining the sales floor, handling inventory, and working with your team to meet sales goals. If you have sufficient experience, we are also welcome you to join as a Retail Manager.
Responsibilities
- Deliver welcoming and positive customer service to enhance the shopping experience
- Assist customers by answering product inquiries, providing recommendations, and supporting purchase decisions
- Accurately process sales transactions to ensure smooth checkout
- Organize and maintain the sales floor by stocking shelves and merchandising products to attract customers
- Manage inventory tasks and support deliveries to maintain stock levels
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and keep the shop tidy
- Adapt to a flexible work schedule including weekends and public holidays
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Prior retail experience, which supports quicker adaptation to the role but is not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with customers and team members
- A positive, friendly attitude and passion for customer service and retail
- Demonstrated reliability and a strong work ethic
