Job Summary

As our Retail Operations Manager, youll play a key role in keeping our store and online operations running smoothly while creating a welcoming and supportive environment for our team, customers, and partner brands.

Main Responsibilities

1. Team Management & Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of 1020 full-time and part-time retail associates to achieve sales goals.
  • Motivate the team to work collaboratively towards shared objectives while embodying the WL mission and values.
  • Provide coaching, training, and feedback to build a high-performing and customer-obsessed retail team.
  • Partner with other functional leads to ensure seamless collaboration across customer experience, operations, HR, and visual merchandising.

2. Retail Performance & Operations

  • Oversee day-to-day store operations to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
  • Take ownership of building and improving operational systems across Customer Care, Sales, Stock Management, Visual Merchandising, HR, and Loss Prevention.
  • Monitor, schedule, and optimize inventory levels; ensure accuracy through regular stock-taking exercises.
  • Supervise and set up store administration systems, including goods receiving, cashier balancing, pre-orders/restock requests, etc.
  • Establish visual merchandising standards and strategies to maintain impactful displays and strong store presentation.
  • Conduct manpower planning and manage shift scheduling to align staffing with peak hours, days, inventory requirements (stock processing etc) and seasonal demands.
  • Recruit, train, and nurture a strong team of WL ambassadors who embody the brands culture.
  • Handle customer and staff issues effectively, including complaints and grievances.
  • Drive store performance through weekly business reviews, identifying opportunities to increase traffic, enhance customer experience, and maximize profitability.
  • Continuously design and refine processes to improve productivity and streamline operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of retail industry experience, preferably in fashion.
  • At least 3 years of proven leadership experience managing front- and back-of-house retail teams.
  • Deeply customer-centric, with a genuine passion for serving and engaging with customers.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and energize a team.
  • Numerically sharp and tech-savvy, with comfort in using retail systems and tools.
  • Flexible to work on shifts, including weekends and public holidays (peak trading days).
