Job Summary:
The Retail Manager is responsible for overseeing daily store operations, driving sales performance, managing staff, and ensuring excellent customer service. This role ensures smooth store operations while maintaining company standards and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee daily retail store operations
- Lead, supervise, and train retail staff to achieve sales targets
- Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to improve revenue
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and handle customer complaints
- Maintain proper inventory levels, stock control, and merchandising standards
- Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams for stock replenishment
- Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, and safety regulations
- Prepare sales reports, staff schedules, and performance evaluations
- Control operational costs and minimize losses (e.g., shrinkage, damages)
- Ensure store cleanliness, organization, and visual merchandising standards
Requirements:
- Proven experience in retail management or similar role
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of inventory systems and sales reporting
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
Preferred Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Business, Retail Management, or related field
- Experience in FMCG / food retail industry is an advantage
