Job Description

Luxury Retail | Regional P&L | Multi-Market Leadership | Network Expansion

Our client is one of the most iconic names in global luxury retail, with a strong and growing presence across Southeast Asia and Oceania. As the business enters a new phase of network expansion and commercial ambition, the Retail Director, SEAO is a pivotal hire, responsible for shaping how the brand performs, presents, and grows across the region.

Reporting to senior regional leadership, this role places you at the helm of a multi-market retail operation spanning several high-potential territories. It is a role for someone equally strong in strategy and execution, capable of setting direction, driving performance, and developing people simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own full P&L accountability across a multi-country retail portfolio in Southeast Asia and Oceania, ensuring every location operates at its commercial and experiential best
  • Design and execute growth-oriented action plans covering clienteling initiatives, incentive structures, product input, and inventory planning
  • Monitor market trends, competitive movements, and shifting consumer behaviours to keep the business ahead of the curve
  • Lead network development end-to-end — identifying new location opportunities, managing lease negotiations, and overseeing renovation and expansion projects
  • Act as a key cross-functional connector, aligning merchandising, marketing, finance, and training efforts at the store level
  • Recruit, develop, and inspire retail teams to deliver outstanding service and uphold the highest standards of brand presentation consistently

Key Requirements

  • At least 10 years of progressive leadership experience in luxury retail, with a proven track record managing multi-door, multi-market operations across Southeast Asia
  • Commercially sharp — confident analysing performance data, managing P&L outcomes, and translating insights into action
  • A genuine people leader with experience building high-performance retail cultures across diverse markets
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels, from store teams to executive leadership
  • Degree-qualified; fluent in English; proficiency in additional regional languages is a distinct advantage
