Job Description

The Retail Branch Banking Head is responsible for overseeing the branchs marketing and sales initiatives, as well as managing its daily operations. This role supports the Commercial Banking Head in promoting and selling the Banks products and services, ensuring the branch meets its financial and operational goals.

Responsibilities:

Business Development

Promote new deposit products, solicit new accounts, and cross-sell other banking products and services through proactive and strategic marketing efforts to meet financial targets.

Sales & Marketing Oversight

Supervise the branchs overall marketing and sales operations, ensuring continuous improvement in service quality, customer engagement, transaction accuracy, and operational efficiency.

Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure strict adherence to bank policies, internal controls, regulatory requirements, and service standards across all branch activities.

Personnel Management

Oversee staffing needs related to marketing, sales, customer service, and branch operations, ensuring optimal team performance.

Team Development

Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging professional growth and development among branch personnel.

Other Responsibilities

Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall branch and organizational objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree, preferably in Finance, Business Management, Marketing or others relevant to the role
  • Experienced in managing and leading diverse teams to deliver meaningful client service and solutions
  • Skilled in sales and marketing with at least 7-10 years of experience in marketing financial products and services gained from a bank including but not limited to target market identification, program development to tap prospects and generate new business/develop long term relationship, and good track record in meeting sales targets.
  • Highly proficient in computer and business applications
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Good problem solving and numerical skills
  • A business focused attitude with good ability to deal with customers with tact and confidentiality
  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident preferred
