We are seeking a responsible and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Retail Assistant cum Racket Stringer. This is a dual-role position requiring both retail support and hands-on stringing of tennis, badminton, and squash rackets. The ideal candidate should be a team player with a passion for sports, good organisational skills, and a willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic sports retail/service environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily retail tasks
- Handle customer inquiries via phone, email, and walk-ins
- Coordinate delivery and pick-up of rackets or equipment
- Manage appointment bookings and scheduling
- String rackets using electronic/manual stringing machines
- Inspect, maintain and record stringing logs and customer preferences
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area and stringing equipment
- Support day-to-day operations of the shop or workspace
- Bonuses given on top of monthly salary if monthly targets are met
Requirements:
- Minimum O Level or equivalent NITEC/Higher NITEC holders are welcome
- Good command of English (spoken and written) bilingualism is a bonus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
- Prior experience in retail, sports stores, or administrative roles in sports-related trades preferred
- Familiarity with racket sports (e.g., tennis, badminton, squash) is highly advantageous
- At least 1 year of stringing experience required for tennis, badminton and squash stringing would be prefered. Training provided if no experience
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Customer-focused mindset with a willingness to learn
- Comfortable handling manual work and generally physically fit
