Job Description
The Restaurant General Manager is responsible for the full management and operational performance of the restaurant. The role ensures smooth daily operations, consistent service quality, and sustainable business profitability while upholding all regulatory and brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operations Management
- Oversee all daily restaurant operations, including opening/closing procedures, shift execution, and service flow.
- Ensure the outlet is clean, wellmaintained, and fully compliant with hygiene and safety standards.
- Manage inventory levels, stock ordering, receiving, storage, and wastage control.
- Coordinate with suppliers on deliveries, quality issues, and cost management.
- Monitor equipment functionality and arrange timely servicing or repairs.
2. Service Quality & Customer Experience
- Maintain high service standards across all customer touchpoints.
- Ensure consistent food quality, portion accuracy, and presentation according to brand guidelines.
- Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally, resolving issues promptly.
- Build customer loyalty through service excellence and relationship management.
3. Staff Supervision & Workforce Management
- Lead, supervise, and motivate service crew, kitchen staff, and shift leaders.
- Conduct staff training on service standards, food safety, and operational SOPs.
- Prepare staff schedules and manage manpower deployment to match business needs.
- Monitor staff performance, attendance, grooming, and discipline.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention of team members.
4. Financial & Business Performance
- Monitor daily sales, food cost, labour cost, and controllable expenses.
- Implement costcontrol measures to achieve profitability targets.
- Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and operational reports for management review.
- Execute marketing campaigns, promotions, and upselling initiatives to drive revenue.
5. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure full compliance with NEA, SFA, and workplace safety regulations.
- Maintain proper documentation for audits, inspections, and internal reporting.
- Enforce food hygiene standards, including proper handling, storage, and cleanliness.
- Conduct regular safety briefings and ensure a hazardfree working environment
