Job Summary
You will prepare high-quality traditional authentic Indian food, focusing on North Indian and Gujarati dishes, while managing kitchen operations and ensuring food quality and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Prepare traditional North Indian and Gujarati dishes using authentic cooking methods and knowledge of herbs and spices to maintain food quality
- Ensure all dishes are freshly prepared and meet established food standards before service
- Supervise and coach junior kitchen staff to maintain smooth daily kitchen operations
- Plan and arrange ingredients for the next day's preparation and customer orders to ensure timely service
- Understand customer requirements and customize dishes accordingly to meet order specifications
- Introduce new dishes and menus to enhance the variety and appeal of offerings
- Monitor and maintain stock levels and inventory to support uninterrupted kitchen operations
- Ensure stock rotation procedures are followed to minimize waste and maintain ingredient freshness
- Control portion sizes and manage waste to optimize food cost and quality
- Work effectively under pressure during busy periods to maintain service standards
- Adapt to flexible working hours, including split shifts, to meet operational needs
- Utilize experience in Bangladeshi cuisines as an additional advantage to diversify menu options
