Job Summary:
The Resource Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring optimal utilization of talent across projects while fostering a highly engaged, motivated, and high-performing workforce. This role blends strategic workforce planning, operational execution, and employee-centric engagement to ensure the right people with the right skills are deployed to the right projects at the right time, supporting both business success and employee growth.
Key Job Duties:
Assign employees to projects based on skills, experience, availability, and career development goals to ensure successful project delivery.
Conduct short-term and long-term capacity planning to align workforce availability with current and upcoming project demands.
Monitor and optimize employee utilization, workload balance, and overtime to maintain productivity while preventing burnout.
Track day-to-day project activities to ensure resource assignments remain aligned with project timelines and scope changes.
Proactively identify and resolve resource conflicts through reallocation, prioritization, or escalation when necessary.
Address resource shortages using effective resourcing strategies and escalate risks to senior management when client needs may be impacted.
Partner closely with Business Office, Finance, HR, and Project Executives on hiring plans, incentives, workforce initiatives, and project staffing strategies.
Support employee engagement by considering career progression, skill development, and fair workload distribution in resourcing decisions.
Provide guidance to project leadership on improving resource management practices, tools, and governance models.
Prepare and maintain accurate resource documentation, including weekly utilization reports, workforce planning dashboards, and resourcing processes.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Management, or a related field.
Proven experience in resource management, workforce planning, or staffing-preferably within a Systems Integrator or IT consulting environment.
Strong understanding of project management methodologies, delivery models, and resource allocation frameworks.
Advanced analytical, forecasting, and capacity planning skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills to manage competing priorities and resolve resourcing challenges effectively.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills across all organizational levels.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in resource management tools and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
Professional certifications such as PMP, HRCI, SHRM-CP, or equivalent are an advantage.
