The Senior Resource Manager plays a critical role in ensuring optimal workforce utilisation across projects while fostering strong employee engagement and development. This role blends strategic resource planning, project delivery support, and people engagement, ensuring the right talent is deployed to the right projects at the right time.
The position works closely with Delivery, PMO, Finance, HR, and Business Operations teams to support project success, operational efficiency, and workforce satisfaction.
The Resource Manager is responsible for end-to-end resource allocation and capacity planning across ongoing and upcoming projects. The role ensures effective utilisation, resolves resource conflicts, supports delivery teams, and contributes to workforce planning and talent development initiatives, including new graduate programs.
Assign resources to projects based on skills, experience, availability, and project needs
Monitor day-to-day project activities and corresponding resourcing requirements
Perform capacity planning to support upcoming and pipeline projects
Track and manage utilization, workload, and overtime
Identify and resolve resource conflicts proactively
Support Project Executives and Delivery Leaders on resource-related challenges
Escalate risks related to resource shortages or delivery impact to senior management
Maintain visibility of current and upcoming projects, including business development initiatives
Collaborate with Business Operations, Finance, and HR on:
Hiring needs
Project incentives
Organizational initiatives
Maintain and improve resource management processes
Prepare and manage reports such as:
Weekly utilization reports
Workforce planning dashboards
Ensure accurate documentation and data-driven decision-making
Support employee engagement through fair workload distribution and career alignment
Manage new graduate talent programs and resource development planning
Foster a positive, motivating, and high-performance work environment
Proven experience in Resource Management within a System Integrator or IT Consulting environment
Strong exposure to project-based resource planning and delivery models
Demonstrated ability to balance operational demands with employee engagement
Solid understanding of:
Resource allocation and utilization models
Capacity and workforce planning
Project management methodologies
IT services delivery environments
Strong analytical, forecasting, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management abilities
Ability to multitask and work in fast-paced, delivery-driven environments
Proficiency in resource management tools and reporting systems
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field
Certifications such as PMP, HRCI, SHRM-CP are a plus
Strong working knowledge of:
Microsoft Excel
PowerPoint
Power BI (preferred)
Background in IT Services / System Integration companies
Strong delivery mindset with people-centric leadership
Comfortable working with cross-functional and senior stakeholders
Not from pure HR, HRBP, or recruitment backgrounds
