Resident Technical Officer - RTO

Duration: 18 to 20 months

Location: near Tai Seng MRT

Key Responsibilities of an RTO:

• Site Supervision:

Oversee construction activities, ensuring they align with approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.

• Quality Control:

To monitor materials and workmanship, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with quality standards.

• Safety Compliance:

To enforce safety regulations and ensure a safe working environment on site.

• Documentation:

To maintain records of site activities, progress reports, and inspection results.

• Coordination:

To coordinate with various stakeholders, including contractors, engineers, and consultants, to resolve technical issues.

• Compliance with Regulations:

To ensure adherence to the Building Control Act and Regulations, as well as other relevant codes and requirements.

Specific tasks to include:

• Reviewing and checking drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Conducting regular site inspections and identifying any non-conformances.
• Verifying contractor claims and work done for payment purposes.
• To prepare weekly & monthly progress reports and other documentation.
• Attending site meetings and inspections.
• Providing technical guidance to the project team.
• Ensuring proper housekeeping and site cleanliness.
• Verifying that earth control measures are in place and maintained.
• Witnessing tests and inspections conducted by contractors.
