Resident Physician

Roles & Responsibilities

. Assess, diagnose and manage patients presenting with acute medical, surgical and traumatic conditions.

. Perform initial stabilisation and resuscitation of critically ill or injured patients, with timely escalation to specialists.

. Order, interpret and act on investigations including blood tests, imaging and ECGs.

. Perform emergency and minor procedures - wound management, suturing, splinting, IV access and advanced airway support.

. Explain diagnoses, investigation results, treatment plans and discharge instructions clearly to patients and families.

. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation including medical records, referrals and discharge summaries.

. Support coverage across 24-hour departmental operations.

. Provide medical support to hospital wards and other areas as necessary.

Requirements

. Basic medical degree recognised by the Singapore Medical Council.

. Minimum PGY3 Medical Officer with experience in Emergency Departments, anaesthesia or ICU.

. Commitment to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends and public holidays, and to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
