Job Summary
Provide technical leadership and hands-on support for internal training systems and data center infrastructure, driving operational excellence and system reliability. Lead a small team to deliver efficient IT services, coordinate with stakeholders, and implement automation to enhance IT processes.
Responsibilities
- Deliver day-to-day technical support for internal training systems and infrastructure to ensure seamless training operations
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware including laptops, physical servers (VM), and network devices to meet operational requirements
- Prepare and set up training centers according to specific training needs, ensuring readiness of all IT equipment
- Provision training laptops using cloning tools or deployment methods such as GPO and WSUS to streamline device setup
- Manage user accounts and permissions within Microsoft Active Directory to maintain secure and appropriate access controls
- Operate and support IT equipment by diagnosing hardware and software issues and coordinating timely replacement of defective components
- Perform routine system monitoring, updates, and preventive maintenance to sustain system performance and availability
- Maintain and document IT inventory, system configurations, and operational procedures to support knowledge management and compliance
- Coordinate and follow up with vendors, system administrators, and project teams to resolve technical issues and ensure service continuity
- Develop and contribute to automation scripts and documentation to improve IT operational efficiency and reduce manual workload
- Lead and manage a small team of 2-3 engineers by prioritizing tasks, delegating responsibilities, and facilitating effective communication with stakeholders
Required competencies and certifications
- Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience managing data center infrastructure, including physical servers and networking equipment such as switches, routers, and firewalls
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a team leader managing a small technical team of 2-3 engineers
- Proficient knowledge of virtualization technologies, including VMware products such as ESXi and vCenter, with ability to set up virtualized networks of VMs and Vswitches
- Valid CCNA or equivalent certification demonstrating strong networking knowledge including IP subnetting, VLANs, routing, IPSec, and port forwarding
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Familiarity with cybersecurity technologies such as SIEM, antivirus solutions, SSL, and system log analysis
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders, discuss task priorities, and delegate work within the team
Work Location
- Candidate must be physically present daily at West Army Camp located in Choa Chu Kang area
