This role is for PUB Sewer Project.
The Resident Engineer (RE) will be based on site for PUB sewer project. He/she should have pipe-jacking / tunnelling and deep excavation works experience, preferably in PUB sewer projects.
The RE shall supervise the execution of the construction works and ensure that the works are carried out by the Contractor in accordance with the contract specifications/ bills of quantities/ schedule of prices, drawings and all other contract documents and shall exercise all necessary supervision and diligence to ensure that our clients and Surbana Jurong's interests are protected.
Requirements
- Full-time supervision and coordination all on-site activities, such as construction of temporary shafts, manholes, and pipe jacking works in the capacity of RE; ensuring compliance with the approved plans and permits.
- At least 5 - 10 years of relevant engineering experience, respectively in supervision of tunnelling / pipe jacking projects.
- Management of contractors work quality and progress; Implement quality control measures to ensure that all construction works adheres to the highest standards and are compliant with Singapore's regulations.
- Maintenance of accurate project records, including daily reports of construction works, site diaries, etc.
- Report to Superintending Officer (SO & SO Rep) and Qualified Person (QP); report on project status to stakeholders, including clients, consultants and regulatory authorities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering recognized by PEB or IES.
- Resident Engineer certification in Singapore.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in construction environment, with a strong background in infrastructure projects.
- In-depth knowledge of Singapore's construction regulations, codes, and practices.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
