Resident Engineer

Job Summary

Work under the direction of the appropriate Qualified Person (QP) to supervise and manage structural and architectural works on site, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and regulations. Lead site staff and coordinate contractor activities to deliver quality construction outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Main Contractor's Engineer/Supervisor to conduct inspections and ensure work aligns with project requirements
• Assist the Qualified Person (QP) in supervising all structural works according to approved drawings to maintain compliance and quality
• Monitor progress and perform structural inspections to verify adherence to approved drawings and project standards
• Review and verify structural and architectural works against contract drawings, specifications, approved shop drawings, and method statements
• Provide on-site supervision for civil and structural construction works to ensure compliance with project specifications, construction drawings, and Building Control Act and Regulations
• Lead and manage a team of site staff or Resident Technical Officers, ensuring they perform duties effectively and take responsibility for their work quality and performance
• Oversee all construction activities on site, maintain accurate records of works, materials, and equipment, and document meetings and discussions
• Assist in coordinating contractor works with consultants and external parties to ensure smooth project execution
