Geotechnical Engineer
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Experience as a Junior Civil and Structural Engineer in Singapore.
- Design Earth Retaining and Stabilising Structures (ERSS) and conduct impact assessments using PLAXIS software.
- Design Environmental Control Measures (ECM) in compliance with PUB requirements.
- Prepare demolition plans for BCA submission.
- Prepare Method of Approach and Access (MAA) documents for SCDF submission.
- Responsible for LTA prompt submissions related to road works.
Resident Engineer
(Geotechnical Focus)
Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Resident Engineer with strong geotechnical expertise and at least 3 years experience using PLAXIS software. You will oversee construction projects on-site, ensuring technical accuracy, quality, and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily site engineering activities, coordinating with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.
- Use PLAXIS extensively for soil and geotechnical analysis, providing technical support and design verification.
- Monitor construction progress to ensure compliance with project specifications and design requirements.
- Conduct site inspections, promptly addressing technical issues.
- Review and approve method statements, drawings, and reports related to geotechnical works.
- Collaborate with project managers and design teams for smooth project delivery.
- Prepare regular progress reports and maintain site documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations on-site.
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 3 years hands-on experience using PLAXIS software in engineering projects.
- Proven experience as a Resident Engineer or similar role in construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles and site construction practices.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple on-site tasks.
