Resident Engineer (C&S) - Contract

Position Overview:
Join our team as a Resident Engineer (Civil & Structural) to supervise building works on site, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, statutory requirements, and safety and quality standards.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Supervise and inspect civil and structural works on site to ensure full compliance with approved drawings and specifications, the Building Control Act and Regulations, relevant Singapore Standards and Codes of Practice, and Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements.

• Ensure construction works are carried out in accordance with contract requirements, approved method statements, and the project schedule.

• Conduct regular site inspections to identify defects, deviations, or non-compliances, and ensure timely rectification by the contractor.

• Attend and contribute to site coordination meetings, technical meetings, and inspections with consultants, clients, and relevant authorities.

• Review, verify, and endorse inspection records, site reports, and test results.

• Monitor construction progress and proactively highlight quality, safety, or programme risks to the project team.

• Ensure proper implementation of safety measures and good construction practices in accordance with WSH requirements and project-specific safety plans.

• Liaise closely with consultants and contractors on technical queries, construction issues, and site coordination matters.

• Assist in project completion activities, including final inspections, defect rectification, and preparation of handover documentation.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Recognized Bachelor's Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering.

• Accredited with Professional Engineers Board (PEB) or Institution of Engineers, Singapore (IES).

• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in the capacity of Resident Engineer, in supervision of building projects in Singapore.

• Familiar with local authority requirements, codes of practice, and site supervision procedures.

• Good understanding of quality control and site safety practices.

• Able to work independently and manage site issues effectively.
