Research Scientist (Semiconductor Laser Diode)

Temasek Laboratories@NTU is looking for a candidate to join them as a Research Scientist who has a research background on semiconductor laser diode/semiconductor photonics/semiconductor material. The staff will be involved in semiconductor laser diode related project.

Key Responsibilities:

• To assist with research operations, including the procurement of laboratory supplies, experimental setup, literature reviews, evaluation of product specifications, and establishment of safe work processes.

• To lead the fabrication, characterization, and analysis of laser diodes.

• To support project-related activities, including events, publications, proposal preparation, planning, monitoring, and reporting, as required.

Job Requirements:

• PhD degree or Master's with at least 8 years relevant experience in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Materials Engineering, Applied Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

• Prior hands-on experience with cleanroom processes, including lithography, PECVD deposition, metal deposition, and rapid thermal annealing optical mask design optical simulation (BPM or FDTD) and the fabrication and characterization of semiconductor laser diodes/semiconductor photonics/semiconductor material is preferred.

• Good writing skills for writing proposals, reports and publications in good academic journals
