Duties & Responsibilities
- Design and conduct experiments to address research objectives.
- Develop and optimize protein purification protocols to ensure high purity, yield, and activity.
- Execute and troubleshoot purification processes, including chromatography (affinity, ion exchange, size exclusion), filtration, and ultracentrifugation.
- Stay updated on scientific advancements through literature reviews.
- Perform laboratory work, including sample preparation, data collection, and analysis.
- Interpret results, draw conclusions, and present findings through reports and presentations.
- Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and cross-functional teams on research and product development.
- Maintain accurate experimental records in compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Assist in preparing research proposals, grant applications, and publications.
- Participate in scientific conferences, seminars, and workshops.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related fields.
Experience:
- 3-8 years of research experience in academia or industry, with a strong track record of scientific innovation.
- Experience in upscaling to production is a plus.
Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in protein purification, cell culture, and relevant laboratory techniques.
- Strong knowledge of experimental design, data analysis, and statistical tools.
- Hands-on experience with purification techniques, including chromatography (affinity, ion exchange, size exclusion), filtration, and ultracentrifugation.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality standards in scientific research.
