Research Officer/ Associate (Ref: NHCS/RO/RA/JY)

We are seeking motivated and dedicated individuals to join our growing research team in data science and artificial intelligence (AI). The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting population‑based and clinical research initiatives through high‑quality data management, governance, and research operations. You will gain valuable experience working with large‑scale, high‑impact research datasets, and contribute to national‑level research initiatives.

Job requirements:

1. Degree or Master in Life Sciences, Data Science, Health Science, Biomedical Science/Engineering, Public Health, or equivalent.

2. Knowledge of research governance, data-sharing agreements, and ethics frameworks is an advantage mandatory for senior role.

3. Experience in research data management,clinical data, or cohort studies is preferred senior role will require more demonstrated experience in these areas.

4. Proficiency in statistical analysis, programming, and machine learning using R, Python, and SQL, with familiarity in efficient data processing and large-scale data lake technologies such as Apache Arrow and Apache Iceberg.

5. Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.

6. Strong communication skills including business writing and documentation.

7. Ability to manage competing priorities, meet tight deadlines, and perform duties outside standard working hours when necessary.
